The Role
You'll own significant product surfaces — On the React/Typescript side, focused on the web front‑end or spanning the whole stack, depending on your strengths. Working closely with design, product, and ML engineers, you'll ship features end‑to‑end and keep our system fast, accessible, and reliable.
On the Python side, you'll have opportunities to develop and maintain AI Ops & data transformation pipelines, work with fine-tuning of AI models, and operate within the Azure environment. While experience in these areas isn't required, the ideal candidate is excited to learn and grow in the AI/ML space alongside building traditional web applications.
Our daily workflow leans heavily on AI‑assisted tools—especially Cursor —to accelerate iteration and code quality.

Responsibilities
* Design & build React UIs with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and API integration.
* Model application state using modern React patterns.
* Create accessible, responsive experiences and validate them with unit & e2e tests (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright).
* Develop Python backend services including data processing pipelines, background jobs (Celery), and integration with external APIs.
* Leverage AI‑assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to prototype, debug, and review code efficiently.
* Deliver scoped features independently in a contract setting, surface risks early, and hit agreed milestones.
* Continuously improve DX by shaping our component library, Python standards, and documentation (CI/CD knowledge is a plus).
Must‑Haves
* 5+ years React & TypeScript experience shipping production applications.
* 3+ years Python experience with web frameworks (FastAPI, Django, or Flask).
* Unit and integration testing experience (Jest, React Testing Library, or similar).
* Tailwind CSS expertise for utility‑first styling and theming.
* PostgreSQL or similar relational database experience.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Fluent written & spoken English.
* Schedule flexibility to be available until at least 7pm to interact with team members in US-Pacific time zone.
Nice‑to‑Haves
* Experience with Cursor or other AI‑assisted IDEs.
* Experience building data pipelines and preprocessing workflows for AI models.
* Familiarity with Azure AI ecosystem, including Azure ML, Azure Cognitive Services, or related tools.
* Understanding of transfer learning, model evaluation, and dataset augmentation techniques.
* GraphQL implementation experience (Python and React).
* Cloud infrastructure experience (especially Azure ).
* PostgreSQL performance‑tuning and schema design.
* Celery or similar background task processing.
* Docker containerization and orchestration.
* CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines) and Infrastructure as Code.
* Python data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy ) for accounting data manipulation.
* Accessibility, animation (Framer Motion), or data‑visualization skills (Recharts/D3).
