Role Description
UC3M is hiring three full-time Assistant Professors for the Physics Department of the Polytechnic Engineering School at Leganes, located in the Greater Madrid Metropolitan Area. The Assistant Professor will be responsible for academic duties such as teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, conducting original research, publishing findings in academic journals, mentoring students, and participating in departmental meetings.
Qualifications
* Ph.D. in Physics or Engineering
* Proven experience in teaching, curriculum development, and student mentoring
* Strong research skills with a track record of published work in reputable academic journals
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English
* Duration: Six years with commitment to stabilisation.
* Teaching duties: Up to 180 teaching hours per academic year, ensuring compatibility with research activities.
* The signing of contracts with foreigners from countries that are not members of the E.U. or that are not included in the scope of application of the International Treaties signed by the E.U. and ratified by Spain in which the free movement of workers is applicable, is conditioned to the interested parties having a work permit exception and legal residence in Spain, obtained within a maximum period of six months from the day following the publication of the award of the vacancy.
