You will be responsible for scaling, automating, and optimizing HBX data governance policies and processes across the entire data lifecycle.
This role is a key contributor to delivering and successfully executing the Data Governance Roadmap. You will be actively involved in creating the company's data quality foundations by developing and delivering technical solutions related to:
* Data Governance & Management policies as code
* Automatic Data Observability and Quality metrics implementation
* Effective Metadata Management & Data Catalogue
* Automation of Data Policies and Procedures
* Automation of Data Security processes and controls
Responsibilities :
Reporting to the Head of Data Governance Office, this role will be responsible for:
* Designing and implementing automatic Data Governance policies and procedures, detecting bad practices, and preventing data quality issues across the data stack and lifecycle
* Designing and implementing automatic Data Management policies, procedures, and controls (policy as code) to prevent data misuse
* Designing and implementing automatic Data Quality controls, validation, and metrics
* Designing and implementing automatic Data Observability alerts and workflows
* Collaborating with the Data Governance Enterprise Architect to design the optimal data architecture and infrastructure for governed, high-quality data extraction, transformation, and loading using SQL, Python, and AWS technologies
* Building or deploying Data Governance tools to support Data Analysts and Data Scientists in developing innovative products
Skills
Education
* Degree in Computer & Information Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, BI & Data Analytics, or Big Data
Experience
* Advanced Python skills, experience with databases, enterprise applications, and ML apps
* Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases
* Knowledge of Data Security management (encryption, masking, GDPR, PCI, secrets, SSO, MFA)
* Experience in root cause analysis and data system automation
* Strong analytical skills with structured and unstructured data
Technical Skills
* Experience managing Cloud Data Warehouse Platforms like Snowflake
* Programming in SQL, Python, RestAPI
* Experience with Data Ingestion/ETL tools like Airflow, Snowpipe
* Knowledge of Data Transformation tools like dbt
* Experience with Data management & Governance platforms such as Collibra, Infosphere, Montecarlo, Informatica
* Proficiency with Cloud Data Visualization tools like Tableau
* Familiarity with Git repositories and documentation tools like Atlassian Confluence
