Code reviews are part of your regular routine. You regularly use AI tooling as part of your day to day development tasks.You might research new frameworks or tools, write technical documentation for complex features, or collaborate closely with teammates on challenging problems. Some days are deep focus on feature development, others involve mentoring or investigating production issues. You'll have the freedom to propose solutions, and experiment with new approaches to improve the Zappos customer experience.Basic Qualifications 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experienceBachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related fieldExperience programming with at least one software programming languagePreferred Qualifications 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceExperience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systemsUsage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, with a willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
