Position
This role involves supporting the financial operations of the organisation. The Accountant reports into the Finance Manager and is an integral member of the team, the team is responsible for providing financial, commercial and administrative support to Senior Management.
Key responsibilities
* Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and processing invoices.
* Budgeting and forecasting, monitoring financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
* Assist in preparing tax returns and financial reports, supporting audits, and providing financial analysis to aid decision-making.
* Preparing Progress Claims for Hire Claims to Projects- ensuring all supporting documents provided to projects and all follow up
* Follow up with TFM/SG Fleet for supporting documents for
* Posting Journals- Expense Accruals & Revenue Accruals
* Fixed Assets Additions/Disposals
* Assisting with Infringements for Vehicles
Required Skills and Competencies
* Tertiary qualified Accounting & Finance or similar
* Minimum 2-year experience in a similar role (post-graduation)
* Strong working knowledge of Excel, with experience managing multiple data files.
* Experience using SAP an advantage but not required.
* Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
* Analytical Skills: Strong ability to work with complex data and systems, delivering clear and actionable insights.
