About the Role
The resource will lead projects within Engineering Function and will deal with R&D and Engineering team for technical design, ensuring project consistency to design standards and business guidelines.
Main responsibilities are:
1. Leading the project within the Engineering function, ensuring that the product meets agreed technical requirements and coordinating the design team;
2. Overseeing Mechanical, Hardware, and Software development according to project specifications;
3. Defining and managing the design plan, system architecture, and module breakdown;
4. Releasing existing modules into production and verifying them through simulation and virtual commissioning;
5. Managing system integration, verification, and final design validation;
6. Supporting manufacturing and assembly processes, implementing design adjustments and updating the bill of materials as needed;
7. Reviewing and approving final engineering documentation;
8. Driving "Design to Cost" initiatives and promoting technical knowledge sharing within and beyond the engineering team;
9. Ensuring a smooth handover from R&D to the rest of the organization;
10. Leading and supporting the team by setting clear objectives and development plans.
What you need to be successful
11. Mechanical, Automation or Mechatronic Engineering Degree;
12. Master’s in Engineering or Management;
13. At least 7 years of experience in mechanical design;
14. Knowledge of modern 3D CAD system, integrated with PLM;
15. Good knowledge of pneumatics;
16. Familiar with basic functions of ERP;
17. Electrical and Software Engineering knowledge;
18. Background in packaging machine sector would be highly valuable.
