Director of Business Development – Spain (Onsite Mallorca, Permanent Position)

We are currently seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Business Development with a strong background in Managed Services within Telecom, IT, Cloud, and or Cybersecurity.

This role focuses on New business development and scaling high-value solutions to enterprise clients globally.

Our client, a leading Technology company in Spain, is looking for an ambitious Director of Business Development to spearhead their sales growth and lead a high-performing team, moving the company into the world of Managed Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the company’s future, expand market reach, and drive long-term success.

Your Role:

As the Director of Business Development, you will take full ownership of the sales strategy, leading a team of talented Business Developers and Sales Executives. Your mission is to drive revenue, build lasting client relationships, and establish the company as a dominant force in the market.

What You Will Be Doing:

* Lead and inspire your sales team to exceed targets, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
* Proven experience selling Managed Services – ideally from companies like Accenture, ALTRAN, NTT, Capgemini, Tata, Infosys, EY, IBM, Nokia, or similar
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and strengthen market presence.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities in IT, telecommunications, Satellites, Maritime and cybersecurity.
* Build and lead go-to-market strategies for managed service offerings
* Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
* Use analytics to refine sales strategies, track performance, and optimize team efficiency.
* Drive the adoption and effective use of CRM systems to maximize sales potential.
* Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer support teams to align sales efforts with overall business goals.
* Represent the company at key industry events, meet clients, and stay ahead of market trends.

Your Skills and Experience:

* Proven experience in IT, telecommunications, and preferably cybersecurity markets.
* Strong background in B2B and B2C sales, key account management, and business development.
* Expertise in consultative selling with excellent negotiation skills.
* A data-driven mindset with a solid understanding of CRM systems and analytics.
* A proactive, results-oriented, and highly motivated approach.
* Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to drive and develop sales teams.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to travel regularly.
* Must be an EU - resident or citizen.
