We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex program portfolios from Madrid for U.S. clients, acting as the key bridge between U.S. stakeholders and our local engineering teams.
This is a
strategic, high-impact role
with direct interaction with executives, clients, and international teams.
Your Mission
You will be responsible for
scope, schedule, budget, risks, and client satisfaction across multiple projects, ensuring strong delivery aligned with business objectives.
You will also travel regularly to the U.S. to strengthen relationships, ensure strategic alignment, and support key program milestones.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of projects for U.S. clients.
Define program planning, roadmap, and release sequencing across multi-project environments.
Establish and manage governance: steering committees, executive reporting, RAID, and change control.
Act as the primary point of contact with U.S. client executives.
Coordinate cross-functional teams in Madrid (engineering, QA, product, architecture, DevOps).
Proactively identify risks and dependencies; lead mitigation plans and escalations.
Manage budgets, forecasts, and resource plans, ensuring margin and profitability targets.
Develop and enhance WTE project management methodology and standards.
Build and lead a
bi-regional project management function
(Spain–U.S.).
Collaborate with sales/account management on scoping, estimates, and SOWs.
Travel to the U.S. for strategic meetings, workshops, and client follow-ups.
Required Experience
10+ years
of experience in project or program management in software, IT services, digital transformation, or AI.
Proven experience managing
complex, multi-project programs for international clients, ideally in the U.S.
Experience working across
multicultural, multi-timezone environments
(U.S.–Europe).
Track record in
defining or scaling project/program methodologies and governance frameworks .
Demonstrated success in
recovering or stabilizing critical projects .
Strong commercial acumen: understanding how scope, staffing, and change control impact revenue and margin.
Skills & Competencies
Fluent professional English, with ability to communicate at executive level.
Ability to translate technical and delivery complexity into
clear business language
with actionable recommendations.
Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution in
cross-cultural contexts .
Highly organized, detail-oriented, disciplined in managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
Natural leadership, motivated to
build and scale distributed teams .
Proficient with tools such as
Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Confluence, and collaborative platforms.

Base:
Madrid (hybrid work model).
