Possible Tasks within this Role
Role and Key Responsibilities:
Räder and Reifendatenbank (RRDB) - Wheels and Tires Database is a project that develops a solution for an Excel-based process currently used across all VW Brands. Originally developed by an internal team in Germany, the goal is to transfer it to Digital:Hub for further development.
* You will collaborate daily with design, frontend, backend, and testing teams to build a scalable and robust product.
* Learn and implement best practices (testing, code reviews, DDD, CI/CD, Clean Code, etc.) and Agile methodologies.
* Participate in designing the cluster architecture.
* Create and learn automated tests and alerts.
* Analyze new functionalities and system improvements.
* Maintain DevOps pipelines, deployment configurations, and possess knowledge in Kubernetes and OpenShift.
* Knowledge in Java (version 8+), Python, FastAPI.
* Knowledge of TypeScript and Angular.
* Experience with S3 (Amazon Simple Storage Service).
* Strong knowledge of AWS services: AWS Glue, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, VPC.
* Experience with IAM (Identity & Access Management).
* Familiarity with communication protocols such as REST and gRPC.
* Good understanding of development and architecture patterns, and methodologies like TDD or DDD.
* Adherence to Clean Code principles.
Requirements:
* Higher Education Certificate / Engineering Degree with 1 year of experience.
* English proficiency at B2 level or higher, capable of fluent conversations.
* Organized, proactive, and committed to high-quality standards.
* Ability to propose improvements and identify system enhancements.
