Overview Senior Construction Manager - ARAGON at CBRE. Location: Zaragoza, Aragon, Spain. Responsibilities
Active and dynamic person with strong supervision and coordination capabilities, required to be on site for long hours coordinating and supervising multiple contractors with a high production volume. Responsible for verifying the development of the project construction. Provide support and coordination with the Project MEP team. Coordinate logistics for the remodeling of an occupied building during construction across its phases and with different contractors. Hold project follow-up meetings with the Building Operator to ensure logistical coordination, intruder/theft security, and fire safety. Verify that the project develops according to plans and specifications. Provide direct support to the Construction Management team and obtain the Dirección Facultativa as needed. Issue the coordination meeting minutes for construction site. Approve construction sequences and methods with the planner. Provide construction support to project engineers and designers. Review construction Change Orders. Assist Package Managers in reviewing and enforcing contractor package requirements. Monitor contractor progress in production and planning. Verify quality plans of contractors and subcontractors. Review operation and maintenance manuals. Qualifications
Education: Técnico Architect / Ingeniero de Edificación / Arquitecto or equivalent. Languages: Spanish; English (worthwhile). Experience: Minimum 10 years. Software: Proficient with Office suite; MProject; AutoCAD. Construction type experience: Tertiary (especially hotels) and building construction. Education and Experience (expanded)
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Minimum two or more years' construction administration, architecture, engineering or similar experience. Certificates and Licenses
Working towards or eligible for licensure as Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is desirable. Skills and Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational and analytical skills; ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service. Financial knowledge: ability to understand financial terms, perform basic analyses. Reasoning ability: ability to understand and follow general instructions; solve problems; intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. Other: Proficient with Microsoft Office; ability to read architectural drawings; knowledge of MS Project helpful; knowledge of leases, contracts, and construction practices; familiarity with permitting processes and construction methods; detail-oriented and highly organized.
