Position
Full-time Variety Specialist Breeding at our station in El Ejido.
Responsibilities
* Product development for different cucumber types, contributing to the definition and continuous improvement of the portfolio.
* Support and further development of the breeding program adapted to Mediterranean climate conditions.
* Coordination and follow-up of trials, including planning, execution and evaluation across different locations.
* Phenotyping and data collection to support selection and breeding decisions.
* Data-driven analysis and team-based decision making in close collaboration with breeding colleagues and other departments.
* Active collaboration with other Rijk Zwaan subsidiaries and willingness to travel for trial follow-up and market interaction.
Requirements
* Degree in Agriculture.
* At least 5 years of experience as a Technician or in Product Development, preferably within breeding or horticultural environments.
* Proactivity and self-motivation.
* Know-how of product development.
* Good communication skills.
* Affinity with data analysis.
* Good knowledge of Spanish and English.
