Position Summary :
The Supplier Quality Manager will oversee the design, program & practices, implementation, monitoring, performance assessment, and continuous improvement of External Operation systems across all company-owned and influenced manufacturing facilities worldwide. The position shall set and enforce standards, align global practices with regulatory and institutional customer requirements, and promote unified standards at each level of the Supply Chain Organization.

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
* Establish the strategy to ensure the implementation of the GB & BQ Supplier Management Standards.
* Define and liaise with BQ AOW & Countries on the implementation of Policies, Programs, and Procedures related to food quality and safety aimed at Supplier Management.
* Support markets in establishing risk assessment and testing plans for incoming raw material control.
* Involve in resolving global and local supplier complaints regarding quality, food safety, and regulatory issues.
* Support on approval, development, performance metrics, and certification programs for suppliers of ingredients & packaging materials from a quality and food safety perspective.
* Work with global & regional supply chain management (SCM) teams to define priorities on alternative supplier development for contingency planning, ensuring continuous supply, and providing competition on service and cost.
* Coach suppliers for continuous improvement.
* Lead and organize food quality and safety audits for suppliers.
* Monitor global supplier progress and provide regular status reports on supplier performance.
* Work closely with AOWs & Countries’ External Operations, Procurement, and R&D to maintain the safety of new and existing ingredients.
Co-Manufacturing Management :
* Establish the strategy to ensure the implementation of the GB & BQ co-manufacturing management standard.
* Involve in developing food safety and quality programs for co-manufacturing.
* Support in defining service agreements in contracts with co-manufacturers, including rights and duties related to quality, safety, and legality.
* Work closely with AOW and countries to establish controls on the performance of co-manufactured products through product qualification.
* Establish audits, follow-ups, and supervision of co-manufacturing operations at BQ level, making necessary decisions and providing timely alerts when quality, safety, or legality of products are at risk.
* Define KPIs for evaluation, feedback, and decision-making regarding co-manufacturing.
* Monitor co-manufacturer progress and provide regular status reports.
Quality in Logistics, Transportation, and Reverse Logistics :
* Establish the strategy to ensure quality and safety standards for storage and transportation of finished products.
* Implement guidelines for the selection, approval, and monitoring of external warehouses handling materials and finished products.
* Support markets in establishing finished goods handling procedures at DCs to maintain product quality and food safety.
* Support the development of service-level agreements in contracts or purchase orders with transport operators, including quality and safety guidelines.
* Implement evaluation systems in warehouses and transport operations, including findings identification, action plans, feedback, monitoring, and continuous improvement management.
* Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure resources are available to close gaps and raise alerts regarding risks in product quality, safety, or legality.
* Establish KPIs for evaluating and making decisions on quality and safety in external warehouses and transports.
* Monitor transport provider progress and issue regular status reports.
IT Tool Management :
* Ensure full implementation and maintenance of Tracegains Software at BQ.
* Organize ongoing user training for partners of BQ and External Operations.
Team Development & Training :
* Develop and conduct training on Quality & Food Safety expectations for internal departments and External Operation partners.
* Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes related to External Operation Management.
* Work closely with Grupo Bimbo External Operations representatives.
* Facilitate global knowledge sharing, best practices, and harmonized procedures.
* Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
* Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Agriculture, Food Technology, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
* Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in Supplier Management, Food Safety & Quality, including multi-site or international scope—preferably in baked goods or food manufacturing.
* Expertise in Supply Chain & Export/Import regulations and standards.
* Willingness to travel internationally (20–40%).
