This is a unique opportunity for a Finance/ Accounting Analyst to join the European team of a successful international telecoms organisation.
Based in my client's Madrid office and reporting to a Senior Finance Manager, you will be primarily responsible for supporting local finance, accounting and tax responsibilities and will perform multiple tasks from a variety of responsibilities.
This position will suit an accountant with a background in audit/ technical accounting who is now looking to build on that experience in a fast paced position in industry. Superb opportunity to learn and grown in a new sector whilst using your technical accounting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working closely with the AP, Billings and Asset Management teams to ensure timely processing of payments
* Responds to financial enquiries and other general supplier enquiries by gathering, analyzing, interpreting and reporting data and overall manage vendors in conjunction with AP function.
* Assist with generating invoices to Customers and completion of relevant reconciliations
* Working with operations teams and customers to resolve billing queries
* Support the external audit and the accounting teams for the year-end audit and other statutory or lenders reporting
* Preparation of Cashflow actuals and supports finance manager with cashflow forecasting
* Assists in the coordination of the loan drawdown process.
* Work with the shared service accounting teams in other locations to assist with month-end tasks, and assisting finance manager with activities with external local accounting firms.
* Contributes to departmental and company-wide objectives as required
* Supports local growth activities by providing financial information and ad hoc reporting as necessary.
Qualifications :
* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferable.
* Minimum 4 years of experience, with a minimum of 2 years in general accounting/ auditing.
* Solid Excel skills and proficiency in other MS Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
* Knowledge of Microsoft AX or other ERP system preferred.
* Good understanding of financial accounting standards and financial reporting.
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
* French is an excellent bonus.
* Experience in international operations/ multinational environment is a plus.
