#Discover I 2026/2027 - Starting date 2nd March 2026 until 26th February.
We are looking for recent graduates from different disciplines interested in developing their professional career in the aeronautical sector. The current context demands different ways of looking, thinking and relating.
What does this internship consist in?
Together with Camilo José Cela University, Airbus has developed an exclusive program (Discover) designed for those interested in the best training in new areas of knowledge essential to be able to develop as professionals of the future.
You will have the opportunity to study a Master, organized in three training blocks, that will allow you to discover the skills most in demand today. It will be combined with an 11 month internship at Airbus in an area related to your degree, where you can learn and complete your academic background.
The start of the internship will be in early March 2026, and will last 11 months (August disabled for all purposes). It is a full‑time experience (40h/week), in which you will receive an attractive study grant.
Internship Job Description
- Design Support (CATIA V5): Help the team design and create 3D models of tools and work areas for our production lines using the CATIA V5 software.
- Drawing and Documentation: Assist in finding, updating, and organizing technical drawings and documents to make sure all designs are correct and up‑to‑date.
- Process Improvement Ideas: Observe how our assembly lines work and suggest simple design changes to make the work faster, easier, and safer for the operators.
- Project Follow‑up: Help the project manager track deadlines and organize tasks using Microsoft Project.
- Team Collaboration: Prepare simple reports, presentations, and status updates using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge to be Acquired by the Student
- Design Experience: Gain hands‑on experience applying your design knowledge (especially in CATIA V5) to create real, functional elements for a factory environment.
- Industrial Project Management: Learn how to plan, organize, and track tasks and resources in industrial projects using professional tools like Microsoft Project.
- Production Methods: Understand the basics of how a product line is designed and assembled and how design choices directly affect efficiency and quality on the floor.
- Teamwork and Communication: Develop strong professional communication skills by working closely with engineers, production managers, and operators.
- Projects or Areas the Internship Will Be Carried Out Within
- Main Project Focus: You will be supporting our team in the New and Re‑design Product Assembly Lines or an area focused on improving current factory layouts and tooling.
- Department: You will be integrated into the Manufacturing Engineering (Industrial Architect) team.
- Exposure: You will have the opportunity to interact with the people who actually use your designs (Production team) to understand their needs.
- Specify the Tools to be Used
- Design CAD: CATIA V5 (We require intermediate‑high proficiency—you should know the software well, but we will help you apply it).
- Project Management: Microsoft Project.
- Office Suite: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Required skills & diversity
- Design Tools: Intermediate knowledge of CATIA V5, able to consult existing models and create small designs.
- Office Skills: Comfort and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Process Knowledge: Familiarity with the basics of industrial production and assembly processes.
- Language: English B2 level (able to read basic technical documents and participate in simple communications).
- Spanish.
- Attitude: Keen to work in a team, proactive, and interested in managing and tracking small tasks within a larger industrial project.
