What does a Video Editor do at Hogarth
The primary responsibility is the creative editing of digital corporate TVCs or mood films, adhering to creative and audiovisual standards.
* Making precise editorial changes to videos.
* Ensuring broadcast compliance for final TVCs.
* Creating graphics for moving or still visuals.
* Animating motion graphics for videos and GIFs.
* Managing consolidation and media organization.
* Creating DCP formats.
* Encoding and transferring for approval and final delivery.
* Uploading asset kits to Digital Asset Management platforms.
* Researching and sourcing clips from various resources.
* Assisting team members in gathering resources for deliverables.
* Transcoding and assembling video assets for rough cuts.
* Coordinating with creatives, producers, and other teams.
Job Requirements
* At least 2 years of experience in the media industry.
* High proficiency in English is advantageous.
* Understanding of customer care/service principles.
* Ability to perform quality checks to ensure high standards.
* Knowledge of audiovisual and creative criteria.
* Adaptability to new working methods and technologies (e.g., AI programming).
* Willingness to learn and share knowledge within the team.
* Strong skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Media Encoder.
* Knowledge of Da Vinci is a plus.
* Understanding of good animation practices, comfortable with 2D & 2.5D animation.
* Familiarity with After Effects plugins like Optical Flares and Particular.
* Comfortable working on Mac OSX with Photoshop, Illustrator, Media Encoder.
* Understanding of media formats, codecs, and broadcast workflows.
* Illustration skills are a plus.
