Marketing & Events Senior SpecialistAmadeus Madrid, Community of Madrid, SpainSummary of the rolePerson in this role is responsible for leading the implementation of the Hospitality Marketing event strategy, driving both strategic planning and execution across industry tradeshows and conferences, customer-hosted events, webinars, and other marketing programs.
This role takes full ownership of event outcomes, from concept development and budget management to promotion planning, logistics coordination, and performance tracking.
The Senior Specialist ensures that all programs deliver professional, market-leading experiences that align with brand positioning and messaging, while optimizing resources within a highly managed budget.
By connecting event strategy to business goals, this role directly supports sales opportunity creation and revenue generation through impactful, results-driven event experiences.In This Role You WillLead strategy and execution of the annual global Marketing Events program in alignment with target growth and retention segments and overall revenue goals.
This includes identifying and evaluating event opportunities, defining participation strategies, and managing project planning timelines.Own relationships with internal leadership and key stakeholders to ensure event programs meet expectations and stay consistent across the regions, deliver measurable outcomes, and support broader organizational objectives.Lead event governance and ways of working with relevant stakeholders.Facilitate the end-to-end planning and execution of in-person and virtual events, including stakeholder engagement, registration, marketing and promotion, on-site coordination, and post-event reporting.Collaborate closely with team members within HOS and across Amadeus Business Units to ensure seamless delivery and alignment with business goals, and reports on return on investment (ROI) using the established processes to track performance.Lead the management, production, and hosting of large-scale marketing webinars ensuring high-quality, engaging experiences that support lead generation and brand visibility.Manage full operational logistics for assigned events, including contracts, budgeting, resource planning, travel coordination, agenda development, production, staging, registration processes, and event communications.Manage the inventory and fulfillment of branded materials, coordinating shipments and on-site delivery for 100+ customer events annually to ensure consistent and professional brand representation.About Ideal CandidateBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.Proven experience in event management, marketing programs, or related roles.Proven track record in planning and executing large-scale events, including tradeshows, conferences, and webinars.Experience in budget management and ROI reporting for marketing initiatives.Strong strategic thinking and project management skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.Ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with event management platforms and CRM tools is an advantage.Leadership and team collaboration across global and regional teams.Analytical mindset with ability to measure and report event performance.Expertise in end-to-end event logistics, including contracts, resource planning, and vendor management.Ability to manage branded materials and ensure consistent brand representation across events.What We Can Offer YouA complete rewards offer: Amadeus provides attractive remuneration packages, covering all essential components of a competitive reward offer, including bonus, equity, pension plan, travel, life and healthcare insurance, and other benefits.A truly global DNA: Everything at Amadeus is global, from our people to our business, which translates into our footprint, processes, and culture.Great opportunities to learn: Learning happens all the time and in many ways at Amadeus, through on-the-job training, formal learning activities, and day-to-day interactions with colleagues.A caring environment: Amadeus fosters a caring environment, nurturing both a fulfilling career and personal and family life.
