Job Description:

Staff Backend Engineer

* As a staff backend engineer, you will play a transversal role supporting the whole engineering team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the technology needs of other teams are met, while building robust and scalable technology products.
* You will contribute to the technology vision for the engineering team, both during the definition phase and by supporting squads towards its execution.
* Liaising with senior leadership is crucial to ensure the technical vision aligns with business needs.
* You will liaise with non-technical stakeholders to guarantee external needs are supported.
* Your goal will be to maintain the technical quality of our engineering team at world-class levels, ensuring it remains future-proof.
* You will support and promote a culture of continuous improvement within the Engineering organisation.
* Assist squads in setting foundations and accelerating new technical initiatives.
* Be a reference in architecture in your area of expertise.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and industry best practices.

Requirements:

* Pragmatic approach to technology choices and stakeholder prioritisation.
* A best-in-class domain expert and technology leader in their area of specialisation.
* Someone who can effectively communicate with both business and technical audiences to justify how their work enables wider company success.
* A mentor of junior and senior engineers.
* A skilled problem solver able to apply domain knowledge to other areas of the business quickly and provide feedback on solutions outside of their immediate expertise.
* Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Broad engineering knowledge and the ability to work across multiple platforms solving complex problems.

Technology Stack:

* Tec-Soluciones-y-Servicios-de-Seguridad-Industrial's engineering prowess is driven by a cutting-edge technology stack including NodeJS, TypeScript, Microservice Architecture, Kubernetes, GraphQL, Kafka, and Protobuf.
* Experience in monitoring tools is essential.
* Experience with CI/CD tools (Github Actions or Gitlab Pipelines) is required.
* Knowledge and experience in DDD are necessary.
* SQL and no-SQL expertise (PostgreSQL and MongoDB are pluses).
* In this role, you will leverage these technologies to their fullest potential, addressing scalability issues, optimising service performance, and contributing to an architecture that supports millions of users globally.
