Our Business Technology team is looking for a Business Technology Analyst who is customer oriented, analytical, and has an interest in partnering with our software development organization on their infrastructure.

Responsibilities
* Windows and Mac desktop administration, including system configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
* Demonstrate strong problem solving skills and attention to detail to resolve technical and operational issues across the organization.
* Develop and implement solutions to enhance productivity within Appian, leveraging relevant tools and technologies.
* Provide comprehensive technical support to Appian's global employees through Service Desk cases, ensuring timely resolution and documentation of issues.
* Provide on‑call resolution for mission‑critical issues and document solutions within the case management system.
* Enhance overall system security, performance, and availability.
* Manage end‑user hardware and software inventory throughout its lifecycle, ensuring accurate tracking, maintenance, and disposal procedures.
* Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders at many levels, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical resources.
* Maintain a comprehensive repository of documentation, regularly updating and contributing to it to capture best practices and troubleshooting procedures.
* Exhibit an interest in emerging technologies, with a basic understanding of cloud computing.
* Perform a variety of basic user‑problem analyses for the customer Service Desk; assist with monitoring the application systems and ensure a prompt and appropriate response to customer requests and issues.
Qualifications
* B.S. in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and talent for identifying creative solutions.
* Exceptional communication and customer service skills (verbal/written).
* Ability to work nights or weekends, as needed, to perform regular on‑site maintenance or on‑call duties.
* Experience with cloud computing, or Appian product is a plus.
