As our Accounting Specialist, you’ll support the financial operations behind our multi-platform business and help keep our accounting and tax processes running smoothly as we grow. You’ll work closely with our Accounting Manager, gradually gaining autonomy as you master our workflows. If you enjoy structured work, problem-solving, and bringing clarity to a fast-moving environment, this role will fit you well.
What You’ll Do 🎯
* Be responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping: recording transactions, performing bank reconciliations, supporting AP/AR, and preparing information for audits and monthly closing.
* Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation, helping ensure month-end close and tax-related submissions are completed on time, working closely with the Accounting Manager.
Additional operational responsibilities
* Take ownership of our expense management tool and support approval workflows, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation.
* Collaborate with budget owners to collect information, clarify accounting questions, and validate expense allocations.
* Assist in international accounting and tax workflows by preparing data, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
* Help identify improvements in daily accounting routines and support the implementation of more efficient processes.
* Contribute to financial reporting by preparing data sets, keeping documentation organized, and assisting with basic BI tool usage (e.g., Power BI, Looker).
What You’ll Need ✅
* 2–3+ years of experience in accounting and tax compliance roles, ideally in a dynamic environment in Spain or a similar tax jurisdiction context.
* Strong understanding of the Spanish General Accounting Plan (Plan General Contable – PGC) and its practical application in financial reporting and daily accounting operations.
* Strong communication skills in English (B2 or higher)
* Native or fluent Spanish, comfortable dealing with Spanish public institutions
* Hands‑on experience working with ERPs such as NetSuite and Odoo
* Experience with expense management tools (e.g. Spendesk, Pleo)
* Experience supporting international workflows (data preparation, reconciliations, documentation), even if you haven’t been fully responsible for tax compliance on your own.
* Strong command of Excel/Google Sheets and good discipline with documentation.
* Soft skills: highly proactive, eager to take ownership and understand processes, organized, reliable, detail-oriented, communicative, and comfortable working with moderate supervision as you grow into autonomy.
Nice to Have 🌟
* Exposure to Amazon accounting flows or other digital platforms (e.g. Shopify, app stores).

* Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or Looker at a basic/intermediate user level.
* Based in Valencia and available to work regularly from our Valencia office, especially during onboarding and peak periods.
