Aboutthe role
We arelooking for a Teacher of German with experience in the primary andsecondary school level. As a CEM teacher, you will be expected to follow theschool and department guidelines, this includes clear expectations forplanning, assessment, relationships, lesson delivery and wider professionalduties.
We are looking for someone who is passionate not only about teachingbut also about building excellent relationships with our pupils; something thatsets CEM apart.
As aTeacher:
• Teach lessons from Primary and Secondary, modelling and delivering outstandingpractice in your own subject area in an innovative and inspirational way.
• To havehigh expectations of all students and to track progress based on relevant data,observations and a wide range of assessments.
• To maintaindiscipline in accordance with the school’s procedures and encourage goodpractice with regard to punctuality, behaviour and standards of work.
• To assessstudents’ work in line with school policies and procedures, referring tostudent performance targets.
• Widerfaculty contribution: Support the delivery of the vision of these languages inyour Faculty and CEM more widely. This should translate into high qualitylearning sequences which engage students, develop student knowledge and skillsand help students to become independent learners.
• Support thecollaborative planning within MFL Faculty, developing an exciting and engagingcurriculum.
• Support robust and formative assessment systems within your Faculty and supportthe programme for intervention.
• Contribute towards professional development conversations of others within yourteam and actively seek opportunities for your own personal development.

Who weare looking for:
• Qualifications: Degree in Germanlanguage Philology or similar, or homologation of foreign higher educationqualifications for the teaching of German Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO)and the Baccalaureate (Bachillerato), as well as the Master's Degree in TeacherTraining for Compulsory Secondary Education and the Baccalaureate, orequivalent.
• Experience: Secondary experience is essential, at least 2 years isrecommended. Knowledge of IB Program is highly desirable.
• Competences: Self-awareness and reflection, Personal drive, Integrity,Resilience, Teamwork.
• Languages: Spanish native speaker essential and Intermediate level of Englishis desirable.
