Enterprise Architecture, Technical Writer II
This role will support the VP of Enterprise Architecture organization. The Technical Writer will produce high-quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. This role will work collaboratively with Architects, developers, quality engineers, product managers, and usability experts to make our products easier to use. This individual works in a team environment as a member of the broader CIO Org cross-functional team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Create and maintain technical documentation and supporting artifacts
* Collaborate and work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product, engineering and architecture needs and the documentation requirements
* Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
* Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer/architecture guides
* Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications
* Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
* Identifies process improvement to increase the efficiency of daily/routine procedures
* Maintains accurate records of all requests and well-documented, organized, and up-to-date report files
QUALIFICATIONS
* Proven working experience in technical writing of software and architecture documentation
* Excellent written skills in English; use documentation to describe the complex concept in simple terms targeting a specific audience.
* Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
* Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development
* University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
* Familiarity with enterprise applications and software-as-a-service (SaaS) is a plus
* A Bachelor's degree in Technical Communications, English, Journalism, or related discipline required
* Ability to work on different parallel activities and in multiple teams under tight deadlines
* Technical skills, with ability to use and learn a variety of tools and systems
* Exceptional quantitative analysis skills and experience with formal process improvement practices, strong analytical aptitude
