What you will do
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers, helping them grow and perform at their best
- Take ownership of the design, development, deployment, and operation of cloud services
- Drive technical excellence across the team, including scalability, maintainability, and correctness
- Play a key role in shaping system design and validating technical solutions
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and align engineering direction with product and customer needs
- Support hiring activities and help attract strong talent into the team
- Foster an open, blameless, and collaborative engineering culture
- Partner closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and Agile stakeholders
What we are looking for
- 5+ years of experience building and delivering software products
- 3+ years in a technical leadership role, with ownership of projects and engineering direction
- 2+ years of people management / disciplinary leadership experience
- Strong servant leadership mindset, with a genuine passion for supporting and empowering others
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, ideally with certifications such as CKA or CKAD
- Experience developing Kubernetes Operators
- Solid understanding of networking, including areas such as Linux networking, routing, or SDN
- Comfortable working in agile, cloud-native, and product-oriented environments
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Business fluent English
Nice to have
- Experience with OpenStack
- German language skills
