The Universidad Nebrija is looking for a Research Assistant in AI and Software Development to join the ARRAIGO project.
The candidate will contribute to the development of a digital platform aimed at attracting and integrating migrant talent into rural Spain. Responsibilities include developing recommendation algorithms, building full-stack solutions, integrating databases and APIs, and contributing to system architecture and testing.
The role involves working with technologies such as machine learning, distributed systems, and potentially blockchain-based solutions within a multidisciplinary research environment.

Requirements
Research Field Sociology Education Level Master Degree or equivalent
Skills/Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications or related fields.
* Programming skills in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
* Experience in full-stack development (frontend frameworks such as React/Angular/Vue and backend technologies such as Node.js, Django or Flask).
* Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
* Experience working with APIs and microservices architectures.
* Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g. Docker) is an asset.
* Understanding of distributed systems, data processing and system integration.
* Knowledge of blockchain technologies (e.g. Ethereum, Solidity) is a plus.
* Fluency in Spanish; English is an asset.
Specific Requirements
* 1–2 years of experience in software development or research/innovation projects will be valued.
* Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in technical research environments.
* Interest in applied AI and digital solutions for social impact.
* Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (social sciences + technology).
* Proactive attitude and capacity to deliver results in evolving project environments.
