Trade Marketing & Sales Support Manager, Theatrical Distribution, Amazon MGM StudiosAmazon MGM Studios seeks a Trade Marketing & Sales Support Manager for Theatrical Distribution in Spain who will be responsible for developing and executing co‐operative trade marketing campaigns with local cinema circuits while providing essential sales support to maximize commercial performance across the theatrical slate in Spain. This dual‐function role combines strategic marketing collaboration with operational sales execution, working closely with local exhibitors to optimize both promotional impact and booking performance for Spain. The position translates local release strategies into circuit‐specific marketing activations while supporting session planning, bookings management, and box office analysis. This position reports to the Heads of Spain Theatrical Marketing & Distribution.
Key job responsibilitiesTrade Marketing & Exhibitor Collaborations
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with local cinema circuit marketing teams to create effective and innovative marketing campaigns that connect target audiences for all theatrical releases in Spain
Negotiate co‐op marketing agreements with circuits in Spain, including budget arrangements, sequential activation, flighting, promotional commitments and marketing deliverables
Coordinate joint and integrated local promotional activities including in‐cinema displays, website and lobby takeovers, premium format promotions, and digital signage campaigns, point of sale & concession campaigns
Coordinate the production and delivery of circuit‐specific marketing assets for Spain including standees, posters, digital content and co‐branded materials
Track and report on co‐op marketing campaign effectiveness and return on investment by circuit in Spain
Provide market intelligence from local circuit partners to inform marketing campaign development and sales negotiations in Spain
Support competitive intelligence across Spain and key international markets, including local promotional strategies and release positioning
Analyze correlation between marketing spend by circuit and box office and market share performance to optimize future campaigns in Spain
Coordinate with the Int'l Marketing team on extensions of global exhibitor initiatives and PLF partner materials
Manage local trade marketing budgets and reconcile co‐op marketing expenditures with cinema circuits including processing invoices and tracking payments for circuit marketing collaborations in Spain in coordination with Finance team
Sales Support & Account Management
Assist in executing local sales strategies across theatrical releases in Spain that align with commercial objectives
Manage local independent exhibitor bookings, holdovers, and maintain accurate records of sales terms and payments in coordination with Finance team
Establish and cultivate strong working relationships with local exhibitors, serving as a key point of contact for both marketing and sales matters for Spain
Operations & Materials Management
Partner with Sales & Operations to coordinate end‐to‐end delivery of materials, trailers, posters and promotional materials to exhibitors across Spain, coordinating with tech suppliers and Content Delivery Service providers
Manage the planning, production, classification and delivery of trailers and promotional assets across Spain
Assist with premiere events, special screenings and experiential marketing activations in collaboration with cinema circuits across Spain
Create and implement local strategic framework and execution of internal and external screening programs in collaboration with marketing, publicity, and social
Support the development and implementation of exhibitor conventions, trade shows and industry events in Spain including co‐ordination and production of materials, on‐site activations and presentation keynotes
Qualifications
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint)
Experience communicating and delivering presentations to customers, stakeholders, and/or teammates
Experience in theatrical trade marketing, cinema marketing, theatrical distribution, or sales in the entertainment industry
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with cinema circuit marketing teams and exhibitors
Experience with film marketing campaigns and understanding of theatrical release strategies
Proven experience negotiating co‐operative marketing agreements and managing collaboration budgets
Strong project management skills with ability to coordinate multiple campaigns and bookings simultaneously
Confidence working with spreadsheets, databases, sales tools and business intelligence platforms
Understanding of theatrical exhibition landscape, cinema marketing capabilities, and sales dynamics
Budget management experience with ability to track ROI and campaign effectiveness
Problem‐solving mindset with ability to adapt to changing release schedules and market conditions
Deep knowledge of the Spain cinema circuit landscape, exhibitor marketing capabilities, and theatrical exhibition market dynamics
Established relationships with cinema circuit marketing teams and exhibitors across Spain
Experience coordinating premiere events and talent appearances in collaboration with marketing, social & PR
Familiarity with box office analytics and ability to correlate marketing spend with performance outcomes
Understanding of theatrical windows and release planning considerations
Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, Comscore, Numero)
Experience coordinating and representing a studio at industry events and conventions
