**Compliance and Conduct is looking for a Senior Control Room officer based in our Boadilla del Monte office.**

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**
As a **Senior Control Room officer **you will be responsible for assisting in the design and development of the Global Control Room function contributing to the maintenance of the integrity of the information barriers within the Group. This will include developing and implementing controls and policies in line with applicable legislation and regulation, and assisting in overseeing the work of the control room in line with Group Strategy.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
- Managing and implementing the required controls that are the responsibility of the Control Room
- Act as a point of contact for control room policy interpretation and updates
- Act as a senior member of the General control room team, providing training, advice and guidance to the rest of the team
- Provide Compliance support and guidance to relevant businesses and group units in respect of Control Room requirements
- Consistently review existing controls and recommend improvements to senior management
- Provide support to the Global Head of Control Room
- Keep abreast of changes in Regulations and how they might impact current Control Room practices
- Ensure collaboration with other peers through attendance at industry round tables and seminars
- Provide assistance to Group oversight activities where necessary
EXPERIENCE
- Experience of Compliance Control Room activities
EDUCATION
- Bachelor Degree. A Master Degree related with this area is desirable.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- Knowledge of relevant EU Regulatory and Compliance requirements
- Technical knowledge of Investment Banking and Corporate Banking
- A good level of understanding of the business and financial services industry
- Ability to form relationships with key stakeholders regarding compliance obligations
- Ability to present to Management
- Working knowledge of conflicts management issues (including Information Barriers procedures)
- The ability to identify and assess risks and work proactively and collaboratively with other members of the Compliance team and the business to find solutions
