Thermal Works LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Field Service Technician to join our team, working directly with the Thermal Works team as well as local contractors, focusing on Startup/Commissioning and Service for all Thermal Works equipment. This individual should be detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and possess foundational knowledge in HVAC along with strong written and verbal communication skills.

It transforms the economics and eco‑metrics of commercial cooling with zero‑water solutions that outperform air‑ and water‑cooled systems in any climate.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a comprehensive training program at Thermal Works' U.S. headquarters.
- Manage preventive maintenance and service schedules.
- Perform on‑site quality control for the installation of Thermal Works products.
- Perform all preventative maintenance and service needs for clients.
- Be available to take emergency issues when on call.
- Monitor service software closely to ensure services are met on a timely schedule.
- Collaborate with different departments within the company for product development and improvement.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting and repair of Thermal Works equipment.
Skills & Requirements
- Technical or Vocational Degree/Certification in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, or Electromechanical Systems (e.g., Ciclo Formativo de Grado Superior en Mantenimiento de Instalaciones Térmicas y de Fluidos in Spain).
- F‑Gas Category I Certification (in accordance with EC Regulation No. ********) is required for handling fluorinated gases.
- 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in mechanical systems for mission‑critical infrastructure, including data centers, healthcare, or industrial facilities.
- Must have experience with chillers and CRAH (Computer Room Air Handler) units, encompassing installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with EU safety standards, pressure equipment directives (PED), and EN 378 refrigeration safety norms.
- Capable of performing diagnostics, repairs, and system optimizations in live environments.
Specific Skills / Abilities
- Baseline circuit analysis and troubleshooting of electrical components.
- Knowledge of hydronic systems.
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot HVAC systems.
- Understand refrigeration theory as well as hands‑on applied sciences.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on customer service.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (additional European languages are a strong plus).
- Ability to read drawings at a basic level.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. continuously throughout the day.
