Position
We are looking for a Data Governance Manager who will oversee the development and implementation of data governance policies and practices, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across the organization. This role involves mentoring junior Business Intelligence resources, coordinating with different departments, managing data-related compliance and risks, and leading initiatives to improve data management practices.
The Data Governance Manager will directly report to the IT Director.
As our Data Governance Manager, you will be :
1. Enhanced Data Quality: Ensures data accuracy, consistency, and reliability, leading to more informed decision-making.
2. Improved Data Integrity: Establishes and enforces data standards and practices to maintain data integrity across the organization.
3. Increased Data Security: Implements policies and practices to safeguard data, reducing the risk of data breaches and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
4. Better Data Management: Leads initiatives to improve data management practices, ensuring efficient and effective use of data resources.
5. Cross-Departmental Coordination: Facilitates collaboration between different departments to establish and maintain data standards.
6. Risk and Compliance Management: Manages data-related compliance and risk, ensuring that the organization adheres to regulatory requirements, working together with the Legal department and DPO.
7. Support for Strategic Goals: Aligns data governance with the company's strategic goals, enhancing the organization's ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making aligning with mission-critical projects.
We'd love to meet someone who :
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
2. At least 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related role.
3. In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks, policies, and best practices.
4. Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.
5. Familiarity with data quality monitoring tools.
6. Knowledge of BI tools like Power BI, R Studio.
7. Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages, such as SQL, Python, or R.
8. Good written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English; other languages are a plus.
9. Strong project management skills to lead data-related initiatives.
10. Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data management, GDPR, and other countries.
11. Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
12. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
