About the Role
We seek a talented and committed Upper School English Teacher to join our thriving international community at ELIS Villamartín. This permanent, full‑time role is scheduled to begin in September 2026 and involves leading and developing English across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, inspiring students to explore their creativity, build confidence and achieve academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging, high‑quality English lessons for students aged 11–18, preparing them for IGCSE and A‑Level examinations.
* Use assessment data to monitor student progress, provide detailed feedback and set improvement targets.
* Embed the ELIS values—Respect, Care, Perseverance, Honesty, and Kindness—into all aspects of teaching, learning and wider school life.
* Promote student wellbeing and resilience, contributing to the delivery of the Cognita Be Well Charter.
* Play an active role in the wider school life through co‑curricular activities, events and enrichment opportunities.

Who We Are Looking For
* A degree and a recognised teaching qualification (e.G., PGCE or equivalent).
* Proven experience teaching English at secondary school level, including preparation for external examinations.
* A commitment to holistic education, nurturing both academic progress and personal development.
* Passion, creativity and a growth mindset, with the ability to inspire students and colleagues alike.
* A collaborative and flexible approach, excellent communication skills and a commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
