We are seeking a critical member of the engineering team to support our infrastructure for engineering, data science, and bioinformatics teams. This role involves collaborating across teams to shape our product in a testing environment, maintaining a focus on innovation, scalability, and maintainability. We value a no-nonsense, problem-solving approach and aim to keep our environment free from unnecessary meetings and reports.

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Manage AWS infrastructure including EC2, S3, VPC, RDS
* Collaborate with teams to create repositories, Jenkins scripts, and improve infrastructure and processes
* Question existing setups to improve infrastructure, reduce costs, and optimize processes
* Monitor servers and maintain security initiatives
* Handle onboarding and offboarding procedures
* Maintain hardware and software inventory, ensuring up-to-date records
* Monitor overall security for information, servers, and users
Job Competencies & Personal Attributes:
* Strong experience with AWS services and containerization
* Proficient in Python and GraphQL
* Experience with PostgreSQL databases
* Automated cloud deployments using Ansible and Jenkins (CI/CD)
* Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems
* Apply DevOps best practices, including TDD and continuous integration
* Solid understanding of secure DevOps practices and infrastructure management
* Proactive, adaptable, and fast learner
* Excellent communication skills
