About the Role
We're searching for a strategic, entrepreneurial, and commercially-savvy Category Manager to join the international buying team of our client in the retail & consumer goods sector.
If you're excited by the idea of owning your P&L, negotiating game-changing deals, and scaling products across borders, this is your kind of playground.
What You Will Be Doing
You will have full end-to-end ownership of your product categories, including P&L responsibility:
* Source, negotiate, and trade food and non-food products for stores across Europe
* Own pricing and margin optimization for your categories
* Spot product opportunities and analyze assortment gaps
* Use your network and market insight to source winning products
* Define and implement buying strategies with full autonomy
* Manage international categories, including major household brands
* Grow into a leadership role in a fast-moving environment
What We Are Looking For
* 4–10 years of experience in buying or selling CPG products across Europe
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
* Private-label negotiation experience is a strong plus
* Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, strong data handling)
* Willingness to travel across Europe regularly
* International exposure is a plus
* Fluent English (C1) required;
French and/or Portuguese are a bonus
