Within Mercedes-Benz Mobility, the MBM Operations & Credit Operations function manages daily financing and leasing business in European markets and at Hub Europe Madrid. It also leads transformation initiatives to enhance customer experience and efficiency. The Director for Operations Europe & Hub is based in Madrid at Mercedes-Benz Group Services Madrid, overseeing related teams.
The Role
The primary responsibility of this position is to effectively manage and coordinate the agenda of the Director MBM Operations Europe. This includes organizing meetings, events, travel, and other forums, as well as preparing necessary documents and information for smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Organize and coordinate meetings and videoconferences with internal and external stakeholders, including other MB Group units such as markets and HQ.
* Proactively manage the calendar to optimize time and meeting schedules.
* Follow up on issues related to the Operations Director's responsibilities.
* Coordinate travel arrangements, including booking tickets, organizing agendas, and resolving travel incidents.
* Assist other Senior Managers with specific topics as required.
* Facilitate the Operations Director's daily workload and staff interactions.
* Systematically file documents electronically.
* Create reports, letters, emails, presentations, and perform various administrative tasks.
* Manage expense reports and travel reimbursements.
* Procure office supplies for General Management.
* Assist in management meetings and draft minutes.
* Oversee parking space management and renovation.
* Review and manage the Operations Director's emails and internal communications on their behalf.
* Handle purchasing and invoicing for goods and services, including monthly PRs.
Executive Business Support
* Prepare the Director for meetings by gathering information, reviewing, and aligning on presentations with stakeholders.
* Maintain and update PowerPoint presentations.
Internal Communication
* Support internal communications, including newsletters and staff meetings, and act as a backup for the area.
* Assist in organizing internal events.
* Coordinate and support Corporate Social Responsibility activities, including donations and 'day of caring' initiatives, in cooperation with other business areas.
Qualifications
Education
Higher Education Certificate in Business Administration or related fields.
Languages
Fluent English is essential; Spanish and/or German skills are advantageous. Additional European languages are a plus.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years assisting management roles, preferably with experience in the financial or automotive sectors.
