Commissioning Engineers play a vital role in performing Electrical and PLC software commissioning activities within the allocated cost and time scale constraints of the material-handling project. They also ensure the commissioning activities follow the correct methods and standards to meet the requirements of the customers project.

Main Job Objectives
* Deliver the assigned project scope and tasks by meeting exceeding our safety quality On-Time-Delivery and budget requirements.
* To commission controls systems on-site including electrical and PLC software commissioning and to provide support to system test activities and training for the end user
* To produce commissioning documentation including but not limited to commissioning checklists test specifications Method Statements and Risk Assessments for Automated solutions to BS EN ISO 12100.
* To interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
* Ensure systems supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive.
* Commission Safety Related Part of the Controls system solutions to the regulations and in accordance with BS EN ISO 13849 / 13850 / 60204 etc.

Qualifications & Experience
* HNC or HND in Electrical / Controls Engineering.
* Experience with electrical commissioning activities.
* Experience with PLC commissioning activities would be an advantage but not essential to this position as we would look to invest in your development here.
* An understanding of automated warehouses is desirable not essential.
* Hands-on experience with Electrical commissioning.
* Exposure to PLC HMI or SCADA development activities would be an advantage but not essential.
* Ability to understand Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings.
* Good understanding of bus systems
* Understanding of distributed control systems is desirable not essential.
* Role will require extensive travel to customer sites up to 80% within the EMEA European region including travel to other Dematic offices or facilities across Europe in the undertaking of duties.
* Full drivers license to support the travel requirements of the role.
* Possibility to be home base.
* Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering
