Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a
Regional Sales Manager North West Europe / Iberia
to join our team in Madrid, Spain.Job SummaryThe Regional Sales Manager will maximize the exposure of Wyndham Hotels & Resorts (WHR) franchised hotels of all brands within their territory, focusing on developing sales opportunities, customer account management, and driving contribution to the hotels within the region(s) they serve.The region includes North West Europe / Iberia, with a focus on Iberia and the UK. The role involves managing and developing existing National and Regional Accounts while also developing new business accounts across all market segments to enhance hotel contributions.This position requires a proactive sales approach, partnering with clients and travel intermediaries to deliver incremental revenue and increased market share for hotels, franchise partners, and WHR.The manager will work to meet or exceed annual revenue goals, managing their client portfolio by:
Creating and implementing sales plans for top clients.Negotiating and contracting rates for key clients across segments within the designated region.Managing group leads and RFP solicitations through Wyndham Sales Systems.Achieving targets based on revenue, room nights, RFP acceptances, and other metrics.Conducting an average of 25+ sales appointments or calls monthly.ResponsibilitiesSales Account Management & New Business Development
- Collaborate with hotels to identify and secure new accounts within the territory.Build pipeline plans with revenue and room night targets by segment, including:
Corporate Transient Business (RFP & TMC)Group / MICE Business (GSO Sales Leads)Leisure groups & FIT (Tour Operators & Agencies)Develop partnerships with key leisure Tour Operators, Corporate Clients, Travel Agencies, and MICE Companies to drive business.Devise strategies to maximize hotel revenue and contribute to EMEA targets.Franchisee Relations
- Work with franchise and management partners to understand their needs, visit hotels, and educate them on WHR tools.Internal Relations & Systems
- Collaborate across WHR units, support colleagues, and utilize business tools to achieve goals.Industry Participation
- Represent WHR at industry events and become active in relevant associations.Self-Development
- Continuously update knowledge and skills to stay current with industry trends and prepare for future roles.ComplexityThe manager will drive significant revenue into the portfolio, managing accounts within a specific territory.Work mainly remotely with minimal supervision, responsible for new and existing accounts.Scope / Financial ResponsibilityResponsible for a portfolio of accounts and new business development, with individual revenue goals and participation in incentive plans. Manage expenses and review ROI on business activities, submitting monthly expense reports.Abilities / Key Competencies / SkillsDeep sales knowledge of the hospitality sector in the territory.Strong negotiation and closing skills.Ability to work independently and in teams.Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Objectivity and professionalism in dealing with sensitive information.Self-starter with initiative, confidence, and good judgment.Accountability, results-oriented, dependable.Integrity in business decisions.Experience / Certificates / EducationDegree or equivalent experience, preferably in hospitality or a related field.Significant hotel sales experience (property, national, or global).Multi-segment knowledge preferred.Full driving license preferred.Fluency in English;
Spanish is an advantage.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality sales systems.
