About the job
The Global Network Infrastructure team designs, builds, and maintains Twilio's on-prem network exchange infrastructure to facilitate global communication services. As a Network Development Implementation Engineer, you will be a key resource for network services implementation, contributing your expertise to a collaborative team focused on delivering solutions through best engineering practices.
Responsibilities
* Work with carriers and customers to activate peering and network services.
* Identify requirements to automate deployment and management of network services.
Qualifications Required
* At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a leading telecommunications company, ensuring on-time delivery of network services.
* Advanced knowledge of networking protocols such as BGP, MPLS, EPL, EVPN, and optical transport systems.
* Ability to define implementation processes, standardization, and automation requirements for efficiency.
* Strong influencing skills without authority, analytical talent, and leadership to achieve business goals.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment supporting customers and internal stakeholders.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
* Willingness to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays, on a rotational basis.
Desired
* Certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS-SP, CCNA, CCNP.
Location
This role is remote and based in Ireland or Spain.
