Our Network Platform delivers integration services and tools that automate essential workflows—connecting ERP systems, exchanging documents, and ensuring data compatibility across multiple Sage cloud and cloud‑connected products.
We are looking to expand our Network team in Barcelona, Spain with a Senior QA who will contribute to the evolution of our integration services, currently focused on European e‑Invoicing.
About the Role
As a core member of the Network team, you’ll work collaboratively with QA engineers, developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and shared ownership of quality outcomes.
About You
- Expert Quality Advocate: You possess deep expertise across testing methodologies—functional, integration, performance, security, load—and understand how QA fits into every stage of the software development lifecycle.
- Automation Framework Leader: You’ve designed, built, and maintained complex automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright, Cypress, NUnit) and know when to apply tools like Bruno, JMeter, or REST‑assured to maximize coverage.
- Cloud‑Savvy Tester: You are comfortable testing cloud‑native microservices and event‑driven architectures (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions), integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using industry‑standard tools.
- Technical Mentor & Communicator: You excel at leading QA efforts for large projects, mentoring mid‑level and junior QA engineers, and clearly articulating complex testing strategies in refinement and planning sessions.
- Strategic Thinker: You define quality metrics, proactively identify coverage gaps, and align test strategies with long‑term business goals—ensuring product excellence at scale.
- Collaborative Partner: You thrive in Agile/Scrum environments, partnering closely with developers, product owners, DevOps, and external stakeholders to drive a quality‑first mindset.
Note: This is a hybrid position - you will work from our Barcelona office for three days a week.
Responsabilidades principales
- Define & Execute Test Strategy: Architect end‑to‑end testing approaches for our four new e‑Invoicing services and existing integration platforms, covering functional, performance, security, and load testing.
- Lead Automation Initiatives: Build, enhance, and maintain scalable automation frameworks and integrate them into AWS‑based CI/CD pipelines (e.g., CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Ensure Quality Metrics & Reporting: Establish KPIs and dashboards to measure test coverage, defect rates, and release readiness; provide transparent reporting to leadership.
- Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and coach mid‑level and junior QA engineers, conduct peer reviews of test code, and foster knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner with developers, architects, product owners, and DevOps to advocate for quality, enhance testability of features, and streamline release processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging testing tools, frameworks, and industry trends; champion process improvements to boost efficiency, coverage, and reliability.
- Risk Management & Long‑Term Planning: Identify and mitigate quality risks early, considering scalability, maintainability, and alignment with Sage Network’s strategic objectives.
