Reporting to the site's VP of People Function, the mission will be to lead the People function for the area of responsibility, serving as a strategic partner for the business while also representing Labor Relations at the site. This includes offering strategic vision regarding union management, labor relations, as well as compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities
* Participating in strategic meetings to understand the needs of people and talent across different areas and business units.
* Supporting the creation, development, and implementation of the area's models, policies, and processes.
* Providing guidance and support to management and employees on People issues aligned with the company's values and objectives. Offering expert advice, coaching, and guidance on People-related issues.
* Leading, driving, and designing change management projects and initiatives, supporting transformation with a global strategic focus.
* Supporting People Managers in all matters related to people, advising them in their decisions and understanding their unique contexts. Acting as a strategic partner for senior leaders on people-related issues.
* Promoting a positive, inclusive environment conducive to high performance and innovation.
* Facilitating expert advice on talent management, performance management, talent acquisition, and learning & development, coordinating relevant activities and initiatives.
Internal Networking
* The People Business Partner (BP) collaborates closely with the entire People function team on site.
* Interfaces regularly with assigned client groups and other functions across the organization.
* Participates in and supports projects led by the Global People Function Team.
Qualifications
Minimum Knowledge & Experience
Degree / Studies
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Labor Relations, or similar. Relevant skills and work experience may substitute for a degree. A Master’s or Postgraduate degree in Human Resources is valued.
Experience
At least 6 years in a People Business Partner role focusing on Personnel Administration and Labor Relations, preferably in consulting firms (Big Five) or in the chemical, pharmaceutical, diagnostic, biotechnology, or related industries.
