Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in Oracle versions 11g
through 19c and hands-on expertise in migrating Oracle databases to AWS RDS and Aurora environments. This
position is part of a high-impact migration project where you will collaborate with senior technical teams in planning,
executing, and optimizing database migrations from AWS EC2 to AWS RDS.
Fluency in English is essential, as the role involves ongoing interaction with international technical and documentation
teams.
Key Responsibilities Plan and execute migrations from Oracle on AWS EC2 to AWS RDS (Oracle/Aurora), ensuring optimal cutover
strategies with minimal downtime. Administer and support Oracle databases (11g to 19c) in both production and non-production environments on
AWS EC2 and RDS. Perform performance monitoring and tuning, including bottleneck analysis and review of execution plans. Automate routine tasks and contribute to continuous improvement throughout the migration lifecycle. Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies using tools such as RMAN and Data Guard. Configure monitoring solutions and ensure systems are proactively managed. Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation in English: procedures, manuals, and operation guides. Collaborate in international technical meetings with cross-functional teams (infrastructure, development, and
security).
Required Experience Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration. Proven experience in:
o Oracle versions 11.2.0.3, 12c, 18c, and 19c.
o Oracle Data Guard
o RMAN: Configuration, monitoring, and recovery.
o DATAPUMP operations.
o Linux scripting (bash, ksh) and Oracle scripting (PL/SQL). Practical knowledge of AWS Cloud environments, especially:
o EC2 for Oracle instances.
o RDS for configuration, monitoring, replication, and backup management. Familiarity with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS).
Desirable Skills Experience with other databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL. Exposure to DevOps environments: Docker, Kubernetes. Holding Oracle and/or AWS certifications.
Soft Skills High level of technical autonomy and critical thinking. Proactive approach to continuous improvement and process automation. Experience in high availability and critical production environments. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
