I’m currently with an industry leader in smart charging technology, who is currently driving the transition to smarter, cleaner transport and energy across Europe. Their platform connects EVs, energy providers, and end-users through intelligent charging technology, and they’re now looking to grow their footprint in Spain.
As part of this next growth phase, they’re looking for a Business Development Manager to lead B2B sales across the Spanish market. This role is all about building relationships, developing partnerships, and expanding access to cutting-edge EV charging solutions through installer networks, distributors, and automotive partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and close commercial partnerships with key players in the EV ecosystem (installers, wholesalers, car dealerships, etc.)
Manage a pipeline of prospects and own the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation
Achieve revenue targets for hardware sales and software subscriptions
Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell across product lines
Attend industry events and represent the brand to build awareness and grow your network
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to shape local strategy
Act as the voice of the customer internally, feeding back insights to improve product and service offerings
Requirements:
Proven experience in a sales or business development role, ideally in the EV, energy, or tech sectors
Self-starter with the drive to generate leads and open new markets
Strong relationship-building and communication skills, you know how to start a conversation and make it count
Comfortable managing a pipeline and using CRM tools consistently
Passionate about sustainability, e-mobility, and the energy transition
Fluency in Spanish and English is required
Based in Spain, with occasional travel to Barcelona HQ or London
