Gi Group is currently looking for an Administrative Accounting Assistant to fill a permanent position at a major company located in MADRID.
The mission of the role is to assist the accounting department with basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks. These
duties include reconciling bank records, data entry, updating the ledger, assisting with audits or fact-checking, and
preparing budgets and reports.
JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
· Responsible for reconciling own local stores, posting invoices and making payments.
· Responsible for reconciling bank accounts on a timely basis.
· Responsible for assisting in the month-end accounting process, reconciling transactions by comparing and
correcting data, ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with the closing procedures and accounting rules.
· Responsible for providing financial status information and preparing month-end reports.
· Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures, complying with federal, state, and local financial
legal requirements.
· Supervise initiatives designed to implement regulatory changes or safeguard existing accounting practices.
· Accomplishes accounting and organization targets as needed.
· Bank payments.
· Support accounting team for timely payment of customers, suppliers and personal.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Fluent in written and spoken English and Spanish
. · Computer proficiency: MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Familiarity with basic accounting principles.

EDUCATION
· Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
WORK EXPERIENCE
· Experience in an accounting department, dealing with month end closing and daily duties (invoices, reconciliations,
reports, payments, etc).
· Experience in NPGC and/or CPA (Certified Public Accountant).
