Experteer Overview
In this role you will lead end-to-end Shaft Line Repair Services projects, from offer to execution and closure, within a global, cross-functional team. You’ll act as the main liaison for stakeholders, manage contracts and procurement, and guide field installation and commissioning. The position supports Wärtsilä’s decarbonisation and service-focused strategy by delivering efficient repair projects with minimal downtime. You’ll work across locations worldwide, leveraging SLS products and services to restore vessel operations efficiently.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Oversee end-to-end project delivery and be the main point of contact for stakeholders
• Support sales with cost calculations and commercial input
• Manage contracts to meet Wärtsilä processes and project needs
• Lead interactions with customers and meetings as a technical and project leader
• Perform technical reviews of repair procedures, parts manufacturing, installation and commissioning
• Define and execute sourcing strategy to ensure timely procurement of materials
• Coordinate onsite installation and guide field service engineers, shipyards, and customers
• Manage parts delivery and manufacturing processes with a focus on logistics, quality, and condition
• Coordinate field service engineers for each project and clarify scope, specifications, and timelines
• Contribute to SLRS vision, processes, procedures, and systems across global operations
• Identify and define system requirements to implement best practices within SLRS globally
Responsabilidades
• Technical degree and minimum 5 years in production, inspection, or project management in shipbuilding or naval equipment manufacturing
• Experience with Navy users is a plus
• Understanding of compliance management
• Excellent organizational and data management skills
• Strong communication and cross-cultural awareness
• Demonstrable teamwork and flexibility to re-plan in dynamic situations
• Knowledge of marine industry and Wärtsilä SLS products/services is beneficial
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
• Willingness and ability to travel (approximately 10%)
