Job Description:
The selected individual will be involved in the design, preparation, and execution of operations for satellites and payloads. This includes working with actual satellites and payloads, preparing procedures and telecommand batches, planning operations, and performing telemetry analysis. They will collaborate closely with the on-board and mission control software teams to define user and operational requirements, and participate in software and system-level test campaigns.
Position Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Ongoing monitoring and operations planning for in-orbit LEO satellites and payloads.
* Design and preparation of operations for various missions.
* Preparation of procedures and sequences for satellite platforms and payloads.
* Telemetry analysis to monitor the health of satellites, payloads, etc.
* Preparation and execution of LEOP and commissioning campaigns.
* Preparation and execution of routine and contingency operations.
* Support for final on-ground testing of satellites.
* Collaboration with software team to develop and test new tools.
* Evolution of satellite operation manuals and procedures.
* Collaboration with systems engineering for new mission design and platform evolution.
* Interaction with customers, launch providers, and ground station networks.
The individual must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical degree. Required skills include knowledge of spacecraft architecture, experience in LEO small satellite operations, and proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages. Desirable skills include experience with cubesat platforms, ECSS standards, and ground station operations. The candidate must have strong communication skills, be able to work autonomously, and be eligible to work in the EU.
