Taylor Hopkinson is seeking an O&M Site Engineer to join a reputable engineering firm delivering comprehensive services to pioneering onshore wind projects.
The company operates wind assets in Spain on behalf of a leading investment fund and is looking to hire an engineer with a solid background in high-voltage (HV) systems and substations for the O&M of wind projects in the Cuenca region.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and monitor daily BOP (substations, MV and HV cable grid, HV OHL) and WTG O&M activities conducted by external contractors.Conduct regular inspections of BOP infrastructure and WTGs, including drone-based blade inspections.Perform routine and ad-hoc site visits to assess conditions, progress, and compliance.Support failure investigations and be available for urgent interventions in case of major equipment issues.Prepare regular site reports, inspection reports and incident reports.Represent the project in local meetings and maintain good relationships with neighbours and landowners.Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards and project procedures.Coordinate with asset managers, technical teams, and local authorities as needed.
Requirements:
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or related field).Prior experience in wind farm operations or on-site engineering projects.Prior experience in wind turbine technology, BOP systems (substation, cable grid), and O&M procedures.Experience with drone inspections is a plus.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Fluent in Spanish and English.Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently to site.
