Your work will contribute directly to improving grid reliability, optimizing energy distribution, and strengthening sustainability efforts in a highly dynamic, regulated environment.What You'll Be Doing Partner with client stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify opportunities where data analysis can deliver measurable valueGather, analyse, and document business and data requirements across multiple client engagementsExtract, clean, and transform structured and unstructured data from a variety of client systems and data sourcesPerform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and actionable insightsDesign, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports to support client decision-makingTranslate complex data findings into clear, concise insights and recommendations tailored to both technical and non-technical audiencesCollaborate with data engineers, architects, and other consultants to deliver end-to-end data solutionsSupport the development of reusable analytics assets, accelerators, and best practices within the organisationEnsure data quality, governance, and consistency standards are upheld across client deliverablesContribute to client workshops, presentations, and stakeholder communications as part of project deliveryWhat You'll Bring Along Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related disciplineMinimum of 5 years' experience in a data analyst or similar role, ideally within a consulting or client-facing environmentStrong proficiency in SQL and experience working with complex, large-scale datasetsExperience with Python or R for data analysis (e.g., pandas, NumPy)Proven experience developing dashboards using tools such as Power BI or TableauSolid understanding of data modelling, data structures, and analytical techniquesAbility to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutionsStrong communication skills, with the ability to present insights to diverse stakeholder groupsExperience working in agile or project-based delivery environmentsStrong analytical and problem-solving mindsetExcellent data storytelling and visualisation skillsClient-focused approach with strong stakeholder management capabilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of cross-functional delivery teamsPreferred Skills and Qualifications:Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake)Exposure to Microsoft Fabric for integrated data and analytics solutionsFamiliarity with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline designExperience with big data technologies such as Spark or DatabricksUnderstanding of data governance, security, and compliance considerations in enterprise environmentsExperience working across energies and utilities idealy
