This role is for a skilled Lead Game Artist to join our New-Games division in Barcelona, helping us create memorable IPs and innovative games.
You will be part of a small core team of 5 members, including a Game Manager, two Game Developers, and two Artists (including you).
As a passionate mobile gamer and artist, you should have a keen eye for detail and insights into the casual mobile game market—understanding trends, innovations, and competitors, and sharing this knowledge with your team.
You will collaborate closely with the Game Managers, Art Director, and team to drive the creation of stunning games from concept to production. You will own the artistic vision, serve as the go-to for art-related matters, and support the team with your versatility in 3D, 2D, and technical skills.
While not in a managerial role, you will guide junior members, ensure timelines and objectives are met, and maintain quality through documentation. Your communication skills will foster open feedback and continuous improvement.
* Own the long-term artistic vision, ensuring quality and consistency across all content.
* Foster innovation and guide art discussions within the team.
* Coordinate pipeline discussions and communicate effectively with other disciplines.
* Plan for team needs and collaborate with the Art Director.
* Support skill development and performance improvement within your team.
* Proactively address art topics, motivate your team, and benchmark competitors for learning.
Qualifications include :
* At least 5 years in mobile game development, with 2 in a leadership role.
* Experience as a lead artist with at least one casual game launched or a diverse portfolio of prototypes.
* Proven high-quality delivery in 2D and / or 3D; versatility is a plus.
* Ability to lead by example, creating ambitious art.
* Knowledge of 3D, 2D, and UI art, guiding team members for consistency and quality.
* Expertise in Photoshop, Blender / 3dsMax / Maya, Figma, and good knowledge of Unity.
* Professional-level English and excellent communication skills.
* A passion for mobile games.
