PpWe’re building the future of medical dermatology by focusing on unmet patient needs and giving people the space to think independently, take ownership and make an impact that matters. Our purpose is simple: to transform patients’ lives by addressing real needs. We work with care, act with courage, keep things simple and focus our innovation where it makes a difference. /p pRecognised as a Top Employer in Spain since 2008 and in Germany since 2025, we continue to invest in an environment where people can grow and move forward. /p pIf you care differently, you belong here. /p h3Mission /h3 pAlmirall is a general pharmaceutical company with a focus on Medical Dermatology. Our goal is to develop novel therapeutics to tackle unmet medical need in the fields of immune inflammatory skin diseases, rare skin diseases and non‑melanoma skin cancers. /p pThis temporary Cellular Immunologist position within Almirall RD’s Molecular and Cell Biology team is focused on advancing drug discovery in medical dermatology through the development and application of physiologically relevant in vitro and ex vivo immunological models and assays. A central aspect of the role is the design of functional assay strategies to characterize biologics—particularly cell‑depleting antibody modalities, while supporting target validation and mechanism‑of‑action studies in immune‑mediated skin diseases. /p h3Tasks And Responsibilities /h3 ul liIn collaboration with cross‑functional teams, design and execute plans to identify and assess new therapeutic targets of interest in in vitro and ex vivo models of dermatological indications with high unmet medical need. /li liProbe emerging methods for the development of physiologically relevant cell and explant models of immune‑inflammatory skin diseases and rare skin diseases, and characterize them using state‑of‑the‑art technologies including omics, spectral flow cytometry, and multiplexed immunoassays. /li liAs a key member of drug discovery project teams, design and develop in vitro assays to characterize the function and mechanism of action of biologics, with a key focus on cell‑depleting antibodies, and drive the understanding of their therapeutic potential. /li liBring strong expertise in in vitro/ex vivo immunology coupled with an innovative drive and a passion for experimental work, and be comfortable working in a dynamic cross‑functional team environment with demonstrated creativity in solving complex cellular biology challenges. /li /ul h3Education Qualifications /h3 ul liPhD with 3 + years of experience in Immunology or Skin Biology is the minimum requirement; additional experience will be valued and the position can be adapted based on seniority level. /li liExperience with primary immune cell isolation, culture, activation and assays. Background on human skin immunology, and experience with skin cells/ex‑vivo skin biopsies would be a plus. /li liProficiency in immunophenotyping assays such as spectral flow cytometry, ELISA. /li liExperience with assays related to cell‑depleting functions of antibodies (ADCC/CDC/TCE or others) is highly desired. /li liAbility to propose innovative out‑of‑the‑box solutions, critically evaluate data, generate testable hypotheses, and solve challenging interdisciplinary problems. /li liTeam player with ability to communicate effectively across several scientific disciplines. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
