This entry-level position is ideal for a recent graduate eager to build technical experience in data center operations, including HVAC, electrical, and building management systems.
You'll work hands-on with cutting-edge infrastructure in a high-reliability environment, supporting uptime, safety, and continuous improvement, while being mentored by industry experts.
Your role in our mission
* Assist in operating, monitoring, and maintaining data center mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, including HVAC, UPS, generators, and building management systems, to ensure 24x7 uptime and system reliability.
* Participate in routine inspections and scheduled maintenance activities.
* Help identify potential system issues and support corrective actions under the guidance of senior engineers and technicians.
* Assist in developing, updating, and following detailed Method of Procedures (MOPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure work is performed safely and consistently across shifts and teams.
* Follow strict health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.
* Ensure that all work conducted within the facility adheres to company, industry, and governmental safety standards.
* Participate in emergency response procedures for power, cooling, or other infrastructure issues.
* Assist in root-cause analysis and documentation of incidents to support continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors on maintenance and repair activities.
* Help manage access control, issue work authorizations, and ensure that vendor work complies with IMDC protocols and safety standards.
Valued skills and experience
* Bachelor's degree (or recent graduate) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical discipline.
* High proficiency in both English and Spanish (verbal and written) is essential to communicate effectively in a bilingual environment.
* Demonstrated interest in mission-critical systems and a strong desire to learn how complex infrastructure operates.
* Willingness to work in a hands-on technical environment.
* Ability to read, understand, and follow technical documentation, including standard procedures and safety protocols.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in this highly structured environment.
* Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, respond to changing work priorities, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision in a shift-based schedule.
* A positive, service-driven attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
