The OLP provides community-based mental health services. The OLP provides clinical services to help prevent the progression of behavioral health needs through early identification and intervention. The OLP assesses children/youth for behavioral health conditions who have not been diagnosed. This position also provides treatment for children/youth with an existing diagnosis for whom flexible community-based treatment is needed to correct ameliorate conditions identified during an assessment process, such problems in functioning or capacity for healthy relationships. The OLP makes recommendations of further medically necessary services, such as rehabilitative services based on the assessment. The OLP delivers services in a trauma-responsive, culturally and linguistically competent manner.**DETAILS**:**ENTRY LEVEL QUALIFICATIONS**:- Must have one of the following Licensures: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Psychoanalysts, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Licensed Masters Social, Licensed Creative Arts Therapist.- Bilingual/Fluent (Spanish/English) preferred, but not required.- Minimum of 2 years’ experience of relevant expertise and experience in serving children and families in child welfare, developmental disabilities, mental health, healthcare and/or other systems as well as those receiving preventive services.- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.- A passion for serving children and families with special needs.- Ability to travel to community-based agency offices, participant’s communities, and homes within assigned catchment area- Ability to receive feedback to professionally grow and/or improve.- Ability to adhere to our organization’s core values.- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines- Ability to flex schedule to accommodate the clients- Valid NYS Driver’s License in good standing- Physical Requirements:- Reach- Walk- Climb Stairs- Bend**QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT**:- Adherence to all policies and procedures.- Punctual and regular attendance as scheduled.- Safe and successful performance of job tasks.- This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only job duties to be performed by the incumbent. He or she will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties requested by his or her supervisor.**WORKING CONDITIONS**:Scheduled 9 AM -5 PM Monday through Friday. Must be able to drive to external locations. Adaptable hours as required to meet program needs with some evenings and/or weekends as identified. Position accrues two weeks’ vacation annually.**JOB RELATED DUTIES****ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:- Understanding and supporting the agency’s mission & treatment philosophy:- Treats all children, families and co-workers with respect & courtesy- Demonstrates & models sensitivity to cultural background of children, families and co-workers- Honors Sanctuary Commitments in all day to day activities- Works effectively to provide OLP services to children and families- Provides individual, family and relationship-based counseling, supportive counseling, solution-focused interventions, emotional and behavioral management, and problem behavior analysis- Provides intensive interventions, crisis avoidance and intermediate term crisis management for clients- Assists families following a crisis episode experienced by a child/family as stated in the crisis management plan.- Conducts home visits and client contacts within the community- Maintains information on community resources to share with clients- Promote evidence-based wellness and prevention by linking clients with resources for smoking cessation, diabetes, asthma, hypertension, self-help recovery resources, and other services based on individual needs and preferences- Models professional behavior when working with clients- Travel as required to community based meetings, medical/behavioral health provider sites and meetings with
