As Regional Environmental Engineer, you will provide on-site environmental oversight for AWS data center construction across Spain. You will partner with the EMEA Construction Program to implement program requirements, assess risks, and ensure compliance through the construction lifecycle. You’ll lead inspections, review CEMPs, and support incident response and continuous improvement across the Spain portfolio. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to shape environmental performance at scale within a global, safety‑driven organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive compliant, sustainable project delivery.

• On-site assessment of environmental risks for Spain data center projects
• Complete Construction Environmental Risk Forms during pre-design to identify high-risk aspects
• Conduct environmental inspections using standardized checklists at AWS sites during pre-PFHO construction
• Monitor Contractor performance against permit conditions, CEMPs, and regulations
• Review and approve CEMPs submitted by contractors
• Collaborate with Spain Construction teams to ensure regulatory compliance
• Manage environmental incidents and non‑compliances with regulatory coordination as needed
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective action development; ensure timely root cause analyses and action closure
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews of design changes affecting environmental compliance
• Develop local documentation, regulatory reports, and track environmental metrics
Responsabilidades
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of environmental management experience in xpzdshu construction or industrial projects
• Deep knowledge of Spanish environmental legislation (Environmental Assessment Law, waste regulations, air emissions, wastewater discharge)
• Experience managing environmental permits and communications with competent authorities (INAGA, Confederación Hidrográfica del Ebro, Servicios Provinciales, Industria)
• Ability to conduct environmental inspections and compliance audits at construction sites
• Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken)
• Availability for frequent construction site visits across Aragón
