The Ship Agent is responsible for the full coordination and execution of vessel calls at assigned ports, acting as the primary liaison between the vessel, port authorities, and service providers. This role ensures that all port services are delivered efficiently, in compliance with Noatum Maritime’s operational standards, and that all stakeholders are kept informed through accurate and timely reporting.
Key Responsabilities:
* Vessel Call Coordination: Manage all operational aspects of vessel calls, including service requests, documentation, and communication with stakeholders.
* Customs Compliance: Perform container opening and inspections as required by Customs authorities.
* Operational Reporting: Accurately record and report all call-related data using Noatum Maritime’s internal systems, ensuring transparency and traceability.
* KPI Compliance: Support the achievement of company-defined KPIs by maintaining high service standards and operational discipline.
* Onboard Attendance: Be available to attend vessels in person when required, ensuring direct communication with the ship’s master and crew.
* Prefunding Management: Ensure compliance with internal procedures for fund remittances and financial documentation related to each vessel call.
* Information Accuracy & Confidentiality: Maintain the highest standards of professionalism in all communications, ensuring that information shared is accurate, relevant, and confidential.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Vocational Training (CFGS) in International Trade, Maritime Transport, Logistics, or related studies, or proven experience in a similar role.
* Valuable experience in the maritime or shipping industry (internship included)
* Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken)
* Knowledge of additional languages (e.g., French, Portuguese) is a plus.
* Must have a valid driving license and preferably access to a private vehicle.
* Flexibility to work different shifts while respecting all legally mandated rest times.
* Experience in the maritime or shipping industry will be appreciated, including internship experience.
* Ability to collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders (e.g., port authorities, customs).
