About the Role:
The Assistant Product Manager is responsible for assisting the management of an assigned product group within the context of the business’s overall goals and objectives, specifically in delivering consistency across all marketing initiatives. This will be achieved by developing the designated product portfolio and coordinating the implementation of all marketing activities.
Activities:
* Facilitates the collection of preliminary data and analyzes information and reports data for New Product Development (NPD) projects.
* Develops creative briefs on specific projects and coordinates with the agency on delivering output and critical path schedule.
* Prepares package designs and briefs agencies.
* Prepares advertising and media briefs.
* Makes recommendations to the Product Group Manager on consumer price points and retail margins for assigned products.
* Manages the product group’s new product pipeline development, individual briefs, and critical path schedules.
* Assists in developing the annual Marketing Plan, including situation analysis, objectives, strategies, action plans, forecasting, pricing, research studies, NPD, and financial budget preparation.
Requirements:
The potential candidates must meet the following requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field.
* Good communication and written English skills.
* Minimum 3 years of marketing and/or brand management experience with a reputable FMCG company in the Middle East.
* Deep understanding of data gathering methods, such as Consumer Panel Analysis and Nielsen data.
* Deep understanding of marketing functions such as brand/product management, research methods/tools, and advanced analysis.
* A proven track record in building brands and launching new products.
